Advice on where to shed hunt in colorado

Hey guys I'm from Iowa and want to do a backpack trip with a couple buddies to Colorado in search of elk sheds. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what parts of Colorado to look or near what city ? Any advice would be great. Thanks

Always kind of quite with the shed hunting advice. Worse than actual hunting spots! Good luck to you though, get out and walk is the only way.

I don't know any specific spots in Colorado. If you are going to do it you need to do it Mid April before they are all gone. Go where snow is still covering at least 40% of the ground.

Keep in mind shed hunting is closed on all public land west of I-25 until May 1st.

Yes, definitely keep the closer in mind. Do not go mid Apr
