I was in Central AZ this last weekend. One buddy got a decent coues buck, a couple other buddies got shots, I got a stalk. All of us agreed that they are rutting. I observed two bucks and a 3+ does for about 20 minutes before starting my stalk. The bucks were chasing each other and then chasing the does. I stalked to about 30 yards from the bigger buck, who was scraping his horns on the same tree for about 20 minutes. Just when I was going to take a shot a doe that I didnt see scared the whole bunch away. The bucks seemed to be acting pretty preoccupied with "white tail". I was suprised that with the full moon the deer were still feeding and messing around until about 10:00 am. I am going back on the 23rd for more. Will they still be rutting at that time????
