The post about sleeping in a pickup got me to thinking........

Maybe I have a whole lot more stuff in my pickup than most people. Here's a list of some of the stuff I have:

Tools - wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc
Tow Ropes
Shovel
Ax
star lug wrench with cheater pipe
Ratchet straps
Motorcycle straps
Tire chains
Fencing tools
Oil and antifreeze plus brake fluid, diesel treat in one pickup, injector/fuel cleaner in the other
A little air 12V compressor
Tire repair kit
Extra serpentine belt
Often an extra spare tire or two
Water
Extra coats and coveralls
Extra TP
1000 feet of mule tape on a garden hose reel
Handyman jack
Baling wire
Window cleaner and paper towels (to be a good road hunter)
Tarps - always at least 2
Sand bags and targets
Special tool kit for adjusting scope turrets
Wyoming game saw
Always at least one firearm, usually two.
Always a hunting pack or two (lots of stuff in the pack, too).
At least 2-3 flashlights
Always optics
Camera usually stays in the truck, too.
Snacks

And if I'm going hunting or camping, I have two bear-resistant coolers. One for food, one for drinks. Plus my sleeping bag and pad. And a gym bag for clothes. Sometimes a tent. Rarely a stove. And the 4 wheeler is often there. Sometimes pulling a trailer with a side-by-side, but it has it's own toolbox full of stuff for the UTV.
I'm sure I forgot a few things, but that catches most of what's in my hunting pickup. How does your pickup compare?

A lot of that lives in my truck year around. I always have a full 5 gallon bucket full of mule tape that is a lot more than 1000’
It’s easy for me to refill because we throw miles of it a week in the dumpster.

Ever item on your list makes perfect sense. Over the years every thing on your list has been put to use or would have been, had I had it with me. One thing missing from your list that I’ve started including, because of sad experience, is a sand anchor. In this country, they are dang handy…….. under current circumstances. I’ve also started carrying a magnifying glass. I started carrying it as my eyes got bad, so I could try a fly on or see something in small print but…… twice in the last few years I’ve use it to start a fire….. before the sun went down.

All of that is in your truck right now?
Yup. A lot of my stuff stays in a special plastic 5 gallon bucket in the bed of my pickup because all of it won't fit in the tool boxes. My old crew cab also has a lot of room behind the back seat. Quite a bit there, too.

GOOD GAWD!

There Is Another Truck Like My Ole Huntin Rig!:D::D:D

Your List ICM Would Be Like Mine:

You Only Remembered 1/3 Of What's Really In There!:D

Narcan eh? At least you recognize your addiction.

I got a lot of simliar things but not quite everything you got.

Tire chains
2 extra filters for the fass fuel system.
Anti-gel
extra fuses
Various kinds of tape (duct, electrical and this fancy hi-temp tape that can fix a radiator hose if needed).
Big ol 2 ton jack. When I get a flat I want to be quick and not mess around with a worthless factory jack

Of course you nailed the belt and various fluids.

If you have a roll of 1" 6000# pull tape, you can leave half that stuff at home!!! :). Best $80 you'll ever spend.

I forgot I have a couple of kinds of tape and a good-sized first aid kit too. Plus moleskin, bloodstop and a small first aid kit in my pack. Lots of knives and fire starter stuff too.

When I go out in style, I let PC carry the beer. Since he's from Cali and Woodlake, he likely prefers Bud Light. I'll stick with Coors. He's a big social media influencer in that area. :)

I Always leave some quality reading material in the Dodge, it makes waiting for a brocoma more manageable if you’re out of cell service.

Trained properly, you’d be hard pressed to find a better dog. If you don’t train them, you’ll have an absolute nightmare on your hands. Mine in right in the middle. We’ve got work to do, but he’s on his way. Just over a year old now.

Damn. ICM led off with the most comprehensive list - have a good chunk of that stuff in mine but not all, especially not as much vehicle maint stuff. The mule tape several mention is a new one to me, and I will look into getting some from a contact.

My only different addition is a couple 75' rope throw bags. 2 years ago I went through the ice, and a state trooper saved my life with having one of those after I spent 20min in the water and was done. An affordable amazon purchase, and easy to throw the full length.

To add some items that are good to have.
Folding shovel
Traction boards
Battery jumper box
Recover kit, (rings, tow strap, etc)
Chains
Air compressor
High lift Jack
Flashlight
Just a few things I seen on here and some I didn’t that are good in any hunting rig.

2 zip ties

Electrical tape

Mini bottle of Wild Turkey,
But, I stand to pee.

Sure hope you all left enough room in your rigs for your panties and skirts
