Bush Plane Services??

Does anyone have a list of reputable bush pilots? Or do you know of a website that may have this info?

Even better: Who have you flown with? And what was your experience with them?

I am looking mostly in the West to Northwest region but interested in the whole state.

What do you want to hunt, and from where? West and north west is an area about the size of Montana... Not many pilots in the NW, or much of anything for that matter. Its expensive to get up there and then you have to fly out from there. Jered Cummings with Golden Eagle Outfitters in Kotz is the man to go with. His dad runs a outfit out of Delta Junction with the same name. Top notch all the way.

There used to be a list of pilots on the Alaska outdoor forum. If you do a google search for bush pilots you'll get a couple lists.
I haven't done a 'western' hunt yet, not sure on transporters out there.

Sorry, I should be more specific.

I am looking to hunt moose out of unit 23 (that is if i can draw the tag). I would guess flying out of Kotzebue would be best but this is why I am asking. I want to do an unguided drop hunt (rent the camping gear).

Try Ram Aviation I used them 3 yrs ago and I know they service unit 23 for moose out of Kotzebue {I just got a Email from them }. they work with you on gear rental Good look steve

I've flown with these guys but cant remember if we hunted 23 or 24. You can drive to cold foot from Anchorage or Fairbanks and he'll pick you upand fly you to beetles. This will save you the cost of flying into to Kotz.
