Hello Meleyman. I might have a trade for you. I hunt SW Colorado for elk and mule deer. I live in Denver and drag down a nice camp every year(walltent, woodstove, cots). I only have been hunting for meat everyyear and just apply for points, but after seeing some of these buck this year I have been thinking about using my deer points. If you could draw a buck tag for the third season you could hunt for both deer and elk. Elk tags are over-the-counter and deer tags are draw only and take 1 Point. There is still a chance to draw the deer tag with 0 points as a NON-Res. The best deer I saw this year was a wide(26-28) but not tall 4x4(opening morning broadside 280yrds) but we also jumped a bunch of tall 3x3. If you have any questions contact me at [email protected]
