has anyone used the weston pro 2300? getting tired of going through food savers and thinking of going with this model. would like to hear some input...pros/cons. thanks.
 
I gave up on vacuum sealers, and went back to tightly wrapping the meat in the new Press and Seal wrap to get the air out, and then putting it in sealing freezer bags, so I can label them. Its quick, easy, and cheaper.
 
We use the Food Saver Turbo Plus which is has a more heavy duty pump than the standard models. So far packaging 1 deer and 1 elk and trout it has been as advertised. I called the mfg. and they admit but don't advertise that the general models are not very capable and over heat after about 10 packages.

Have you used this model? ...wondering if anyone can also give me some feedback on this Model.

Not to steal the post,but have you tried the Glad hand pump sealer and bags?We use them for all kinds of food with no problems.thanks, Larry
