Utah Draw Issues???

I am just trying to understand why they haven't been hitting cards yet... Here are my thoughts:

This year, Utah changed the pref point rule to lose your points when drawn. I wonder if they have run into issues when quality checking the draw results and the computer programming is not running as needed to remove pref points.

Just a thought...

I know when I called the DWR Admin they were very short and would not share any information regarding when the draw would be done and when they would start charging cards....

I think it might be next week.

But for the reasons why they were short with you could possible be that you were the 500th call of the DAY, and the 5000 call of the week. ITs going to happen. Everyone just needs to be patient. I have a cabelas card and its always 3 days later than everyone else. So I just patiently wait.

I'm almost glad card aren't being hit since my mind would be on hunting (which it is 364 days per year) and now my full attention can be on the Mothers in our lives!!!! ....then I can go back to normal and think about hunting! Haha

I'm guessing the reason they were short was because he probably called the DWR Salt Lake Office and they don't have that info. The Fallon NV company (Systems Consultants) does! The DWR number is the wrong number for draw results per page 24 of the Application Guidebook. The number listed there (1-800-221-0659) is the number Fallon uses to answer questions about the results and, with 8 trunk lines, it's available 24/7. But even then we may not get the exact timing or schedule because Fallon subcontracts that answering service and the answering service may not yet have that info nor do they know when each card is hit. Check with your bank or call the above number or wait until Systems Consultants sends out emails, but don't bother DWR 'cause they don't know much before we all do.

the Utah dnr site does not show point eligibility right now. it was showing this weekend. Looks like they are working on loading the data.

That's kinda what I was think maybe had to redraw a portion of it with the new deer changes etc.

Maybe Utah has simply started doing what Nevada does. Nevada used to charge cards before results were released, but now you know the results before you are charged. It's the same company running both draws so it would be easy to duplicate.

They blocked the back door a few years ago. When you could check your points history and see what you drew. So that maybe very well be the case. That they are tired of hearing from those not getting their credit cards hit . So they may not hit them till later to get some piece and quite in the office. But I guess we will see ! You maybe right Scottie !!

Either way in this day and age it takes way longer than it should to do a draw, charge, and release results and that goes for most states.

That Definently could be the case! Kind of a bummer but that's how it prob should be. I just really wonder about complication with the new rules on Gen deer.

I think they would be smart updating the public tho it would save a ton of phone calls if they posted an itenarary. Like announce may11-12 we will conduct the draw expect credit card charges the 16-18 some coming later (if ccard is denied and need to be contacted) please be patient and refrain from calling until emails are sent out emails sent out the 20-21. The 28-30 points will be updated.
I think that would reduce a ton Of phone calls for them. Or they can just continue getting hundreds of phone calls a day about it.

That could very well be the case. I do however find it very unlikely that everyone on here knows nobody who has drawn a tag.
