This isn't meant to bash anyone or anything, I just am curious if this has had a big impact on these units over the last few years? I have heard rumors both ways, I wish I could find data on how many bucks they kill out of there each year.

From what i saw last year.....yes. they have no regard for laws..road closed...chase them around across county with vehicles. The deer were spooky as hell. I would walk in a road closed before light and they would drive in the road closed. Shot anything with horns.

I have seen plenty of non-native "hunters" do that. Don't know that I have seen any natives out hunting during "our" hunting seasons. The major impact comes because they can hunt them pretty much any time even on winter range after the normal seasons close/during the rut, etc. I doubt there is any data to tell us how many they kill

venor, ergo sum (I hunt, therefore I am)

I guess i got lucky to share my hunt with a couple natives. Nothing like being a mile in and have one drive by smiling like a circus clown. I guess they dont teach them to read or respect the law.

Is there any limitations on number they can take from the winter ranges off of the reservation? Seems rough on the animals if they can just slay them at will during the rut....

I could care less what people say but this is a major issue in every state.
To answer your question, no these groups are not required to report harvests, or adhere to many rules. A relative is a game warden and the stance is to let it go in fear of being sued.
Its nice that our taxes and tag fees improve habitat for wintering grounds...aka native hunting grounds.
