Got it done today. What a hard hunt not a gaint but awsome experiance with my good friend Murray. Pictures to come. We hiked in 430a got ahead of the road hunters. We could hear an atv coming our way and parade of trucks down below on the main road. There was 3 bulls spread out far apart just bugling to each other. We set up near an escape route. I decided to just pick the middle bugle as he sounded the deepest. Soon cows were running by at first light. Ranged them too far for a shot 108 yards. Moved up quickly after they passed. With no more cover in front of me and murray 50 yards behind me at the tree line. He signaled for a shot but i had big pinion in front of me. The bull walked out he bugled just enough time to range 65 yards. At the shot the bull was not sure of what hit him he ran for the tree line passing broadside at 36 yards. Second shot hit a bit high but was enough to seal the deal!!! Tough still went 300 more yards with 2 arrows in him! Thank you for heavy Vap tko 300s and 125 gr grizz trick 2. Heavy mass old looking 5x6 will post pics later after download. Still lot work to do!!! Thanks to my dad Tom, teenage son Gavin for coming out for the packout and my good friend Murray for another successfull adventure. Nine days of hard work hot weather and poor rut.
