To hell with maps, buy a drone!
I find a decent topo map used along side with Google earth gives a pretty good idea of what your hunting. I've paid hundreds of dollars on custom maps and can't really contribute much success to owning them. At the end of the day your instincts and a ton of scouting will be the key.
If that fails you buy a 30 pack of bud light and some Marlboro reds find some locals offer them a smoke and a beer and they start yapping better than waterboarding ever did!
And if that doesn't work, wait until the day before the hunt and find you a truck with all the Browning, Rage, Vortex, and Gunworks logos on them, those guys usually take there hunting pretty seriously and might have some good info you can borrow by following them! LOL!
