Trail camera use Wyoming

Not really clear on the regs. of the use of trail cameras in the National Forest and in Wilderness areas in Wyoming during the hunting season.
I do plan to call game and fish, but they're a little busy this time of year and the lines have been busy.

Anyone have the word on this?

According to a game warden I talked with no restrictions in Wyoming on trail camera use. As far as wilderness areas you would have to ask the Forest service he said.

Got a return call today from the Sheridan Wy. G+F office and was told trail camera use is legal state wide in all areas.

In case anyone else wanted to know the same as I.

Well, guess that depends on what you want pics of.

Alcohol and some dirty magazines might lead to something you can't unsee, but it's likely legal.

Specific to NF and wilderness, that is correct.

Scent that can not be eaten can be used as attractants can't they jm77 ? Just not "bait" right?

Apparently there may be some wrong answers here about trail cam use on USFS lands. Unless someone can find something different(BuzzH?) as long as you follow state law governing trail cam use, it may be ok. Baiting in front of a trail cam is legal in Wyoming as far as I know, you just can't hunt over it.

Trail cams in wilderness may be a different story, being they are "attached" to something.
