Hello'
I will soon go archery elk hunting in Wyoming. I am planning to use rage hypodermic penetration plus heads. Simple question....are they legal to take elk in Wyoming?
Thanks for help!

It appears that the rage you intend to use open to make a 2" cut, so it would more than meet the minimum requirement.

Section 6. Archery equipment that is legal for the taking of big or trophy game
animals.
(a) For the taking of antelope, bighorn sheep, black bear, deer, mountain goat, mountainlion, or gray wolf where designated as a trophy game animal, a hunter shall use a longbow, recurve
bow or compound bow of not less than forty (40) pounds draw weight and an arrow equipped with afixed or expanding point broadhead that when fully expanded cannot pass through a seven-eighths(7/8) inch solid ring.
32-3
(b) For the taking of elk, grizzly bear or moose, a hunter shall use a longbow, recurvebow or compound bow of not less than fifty (50) pounds draw weight and an arrow equipped with afixed or expanding point broadhead that when fully expanded cannot pass through a seven-eighths(7/8) inch solid ring.

Thanks for all your answers. The new rage hypodermic was changed for bigger boned game by reducing the blades in length to cut a 1 1/2 inch incision and the blades are made thicker to not bend or break as easily as the originals. I read the regulations and was confused by the way they explain what is legal.
Thanks again for the replies.

It needs a cutting diameter bigger than 7/8", which basically they all do. I read all the replies and no one just answered your question...but YES they are legal.

Since everyone gave their opinion, I will too. They are also not my choice of expandables ;) G5 Dead Meat is an absolute killer.

Good luck to you!

Excuse me, but I did directly answer his question and copied the exact Regulation from the G&F site and what it meant! Also, only Walt (264mag) gave his opinion of the head the OP asked about!
