NR Antelope Draw

Was wondering if anyone could give some insight on how the draw works for NR lopes. Been looking at the states website but am a little confused. To my knowledge it looks like you will always have a chance at an area due to the random draw? As small of a chance it may be. Also how do the 2nd and 3rd choices work? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome, as it can be a litte confusing, but It's all pretty well covered in the G&F Application Booklet, as well as forums on the net if you just take a few minutes to do the research yourself. In a nutshell, 25% of the tags go into the random draw that doesn't use points for first chance applicants. After all the draws are completed you can tell what tags were still available by looking at that draw to see if there were still tags left after all first choice applicants were satisfied. If there were, then there is a draw for the second choice and again for third choice if tags are still left.

Not usually a problem for pronghorn, but be aware if you apply for a deer or elk tag with very limited numbers, there may be no tags available in the random draw.
