Father/son 2016 Idaho Muley hunt

Hey hunters,

Anyone ever hunt Idaho?

My son and I are doing some early planning for 2016 Muleys. This will be my first time hunting out of state and his first year hunting. Since ID youth age starts at 10, (my son is 10) we want to start there. We will put in for drawings but are planning on OTC tags for Muley and Elk. Considering archery as well. Any tips on what units to look into and/or general Idaho hunting advice is welcomed and appreciated. Not necessarily targeting trophy quality, but looking for success.

DONT OVER LOOK THE LARGE NUMBERS OF WHITETAIL IN IDAHO, MANY FOUND IN ELK COUNTRY...................GOOD LUCK.........YD.

Good point. I'm finding as I research units that many have Whitetail as well. Some units I believe you can take either with a general tag?
