LAST EDITED ON Jun-10-15 AT 11:08AM (MST)[p] I finally hit the early rifle tag 9 years in the making. I have hunted a lot more down in 22 and haven't hunted 11 in a few years and that was mostly along Success Loop area. However I did see a big beautiful 7pt on Camel Peak. But I am thinking of hunting the east side but I don't have much knowledge on that area. Would love some pointers if anyone would care to share. I will be doing a few fishing trips to Cave Lake with some scouting time.

The snow storm really made it tough to get around. I really thought my hunt was over when we seen more weather coming in. I actually went home. I couldn't stay away so I decided to go back up on the 16th. Still not a lot of access. However, I finally got him on Thursday 19 Nov. Not a monster but it filled the tag.

Congrats on a great bull! Looked,like extreme conditions and I've hunted that area many times in good weather and know how tough that country is....

Thanks Ed, The weather was prefect the first 3 days. Then the storm hit which called for 4-7". As you can see in this pic (10 days later)it was a little more than that...LOL
