What would you do if you had two contracted hunts with an outfitter and he didn't perform? Talked to NOGA and they had many complaints on this guy? Had talked to multiple references for this guy and all gave rave reviews. Outfitter hunted half a day each day for first hunt shortened duration, hunted only 2 days on second hunt, then claimed weather was too bad to continue. First hunt booked for 2 guides and one hunter 7 days or more. Hunt terminated on day 5 with first time hunter taking a small 300 class bull when everyday saw half a dozen 330 to 340 bulls and one giant of 360 plus. Day four hunter shoots at 6x7 about 360 B&C @ 400 yards. Guide says don't shoot again. He says "Blood pouring out of both sides - note can only see right side - bull wanders off while watching him for over 3 miles, no sign of hit. Second hunt was dreaded by hunter, but had paid for a 3 to 4 guides to one hunter for entire season. Guide hunted first 2 days, took next day off, then got us stuck in 30" snow drift. When queried for chains, ground anchors for winch, or high lift jack, he says, "Oh I must have taken them out of truck"! After being stuck 3 hours, no cell service, guide doesn't have his SAT phone with him, we get out and head back to hotel. Guide drives north and buys chains - one set only, some soft iron 1" diameter 30" long rods and supposedly a high lift jack. Next morning gets stuck in a drift within short distance from hotel. Hour later we get out he terminates hunt! Promises to hunt more in a few days. Saturday after Christmas promises to hunt Sunday or Monday for remainder of season. Then disappears. Won't answer phone, texts, or emails. Luckily I contract with another guide and we get 2 days of hunting in, see 225 deer but no quality and boom, hunt is over. I think the guide should be run out of business. NDOW is supportive but? NOGA is supportive but? Attorney in Reno is ready to litigate and I will probably go that route. There should be a mechanism to get phonies like this guy out of the business. Full alert coming in a few days with full information. Any attorney recommendations from practicing lawyers?

Syncerus1, I try to stay with the mentality; you have your story, the guides story and the truth is somewhere in the middle. I am not saying I don't belive what you wrote, but I like to give the benefit to guides. Guides are not in the business to get rich but are in the business because of a love for the sport and understand their business is customer satisfaction. If your experience was this bad with this guide then do the right thing and make sure other hunters do not hire this guide.

I can see you don't want to name names but what town is this guide based out of? Where was your hunt?
