Who's in 4 November Deer?

Who here has been lucky enough to draw a mid November deer tag in the last few years? How was your experience? Just curious....

Drew last year. Killed a buck on Friday the 13th. Old, heavy buck. Rut just starting. If I had to do over would hunt a little later.

I passed and just went for a point this year. Most likely i wouldn't draw anyway with 6 pts., but i have a few hunts this year during that time period that i don't want to overlap. Ill be back in the draw next year.

My brother and i drew a few years ago and walked away with 2 good bucks. Both over 175 and 27in or better.

treedagain- What unit and you have pics to share? Maxcarp? same question....

This is my 2013 buck from 192...This unit was kind of strange to hunt. Now that I sit and think about it, there weren't really many open area to go hunt that were far away from homes or a small town.

here is the post with the deer. it was not a mid Nov hunt but it was a late one for the unit.

Sorry for late reply, just got back from a NE turkey hunt.

I hunted the Pine Nuts, area 291. Not a trophy hunt, low density of deer and very few upper end bucks. But I had a tag and I was hunting mule deer. Screw waiting 10 years to hunt a so called premium area.

Also the Indians get about 60 tags, but can only hunt on Indian lands, and if you believe that I have something to sell, cheap....LOL.
