My pops got lucky again and drew 151-156 Late Rifle. Getting excited for this fall!!

If anyone has some pictures of deer taken from the area, please share. Just want to get the blood pumping for him. Thanks!

Good luck to your dad. I'll be following this, I drew 151-156 Archery deer, and my brother drew it for early rifle. Neither of us have hunted this area. Looking forward to scouting it.

Most likely we will hunt the north end of the units. We will do a scout trip on our way back from Elk/Antelope in Wyoming mid October, and will probably hunt the last week of the season.

Looking forward to spotting deer in the snow hopefully - never done that. We have a good plan going in... hopefully it all comes together.

Shane - looks like we have all the seasons covered except for muzzy lol. Good luck to you and your brother.

I drew the muzzle loader deer tag as a resident. I have a couple specific spots picked out.

Some general points...

Deer are where you find them, they don't follow the rules.

Don't expect snow in November but prepare for it in September.

Look high, low and in between, including habitat types that you would not normally look for deer in, and where you wouldn't think they could hide.

I live in Battle Mountain had the tag last year saw 25 bucks the entire season nothing big, good luck

Last years late season weather was hot hot and hotter I did wear a jacket in the morning but it didn't take long before it warmed up,now three seasons before I froze my ass off it was so cold but there was still now snow.
