Anyone seen any rut activity starting yet. Son has a late deer tag was just curious what everyone was seeing.

I was in area 7 this week. I saw a few deer. No sign of rutting up there yet.

My nephew killed a buck this weekend in southern Utah that had a swollen neck and was chasing a doe. Not sure how that translates to your area, but it's getting close.

I was in 7 on Saturday and 10 on Sunday. Seen a ton of groups of does and absolutely 0 rutting going on.

All the bucks I saw were in bachelor groups and singles with no interest in does.

Bachelor groups groups with skinny necks in 6 today and yesterday

Late October the rut was starting around 10,000ft in area 11. Was in area 14 Nov 5th with zero sign of rut.

I'm in 194-196 hiking regularly each week. Haven?t seen anything kicking off. I have not been higher than 8500 feet however.

Hunted unit 16 late deer. Guess someone didn't want the tag so I got it as an alternate. All the herds of does that were over a mile from roads had a herd buck rutting does. The more remote, the more action. The buck I shot had 15 does and wasn?t leaving them. This was nov 3 and earlier.

194-196 and 192 rut doesn't start till about thanksgiving usually. Not sure why it's later than the rest of the state but it is
