I seem to think that this Muley was on here before, but in case I'm wrong, here it is if never been posted before. I received this today, but that Cactus in the back looks familar from before.

Am i seeing three main beams on his left? Or is that one giant eye guard? Either way WOW's the word!

thats why god gave the ability to dream.
god never gave the ability to dream with out giving us the talent to make them come true

Anybody else think this looks a little odd. Proportions just seem off (that or that's MiniMe behind the deer).

I think I remember reading the story on this one before. I don't know if this is the same deer or not.
As I remember, this was an older gentleman who got talked into going on this hunt to old Mexico by his son. The first part of the hunt was miserable and included "losing" his rifle in customs. He was mad that he spent the money and lost his gun and wasn't getting a deer. Toward the end of the week this enormous buck showed up and he was able to take him with a borrowed rifle which made the trip worth it to him.
Again, I am pulling this from somewhere in the dark part of my brain, so this story may not actually go with the deer. I think I read this in a magazine a couple years ago.

I think you're right about the father and son part. It definitly looks the split main buck that I read about a year or so ago. Trophy Hunter maybe? I know I've seen that pic before. Nonetheless, enjoyed seeing it again--it's no photoshop.

It was in Muley Crazy last year, said it scored 230+, I just seen it the other day but didnt read the story on it.

This buck was featured in the 2006 July/August issue of Muley Crazy (pg. 45). He was harvested by James Reilly in Old Mexico with Mick Chapel of New Mexico Professional Big Game Hunting. He Gross scores over 230", is 30" wide and has a 5x6 frame. WHAT A PIG !!!!

QUESTION? Couldn't you score the deer's left side as a typical with the long eyeguard(g1), main beam #2(g2) etc?

It was indeed in Eastman's, the "no fences here" guys. Only thing is that this buck was shot in one of those Mexico high fenced operations (as Ryan Hatch), which is why you'll never see it on the B&C website or record books. It is a monster though, just not fair chase.

Hope they pulled some semen from it to breed some of their does before they started cutting it up. Gotta love Mexico.
