Elk taxidermy opinion

I have an elk cape with one eye that is torn up badly. The elk was gored by another bull and lost his eye. Would you try to fix the eye the best you could to make it look normal, or try to make the eye appear that it was damaged in a fight? The hunter doesn't care either way. Any suggestions or thoughts?

Unless you want to have the eye be the focal point of the piece, fix it!

I'm with LBH...In my shop, I'd fix it or replace the cape!

Whatever you decide...just for fun..you should put a pirate's patch over the bad eye just before the customer comes to pick it up. Have a hidden camera to catch his reaction.
