Euro mount question

I have a question. I took a buck this year with the intentions of doing a full shoulder mount on him. Cut the horns off the head and caped him. Now I'm having 2nd thoughts on the shoulder mount. Has anyone every used a euro mount kit that basically replaces the original skull? And if so, does it look normal, real, and good?

In my opinion they look okay but it is usually my preference to put them back onto a real skull.

Easy mount, with only a small saw in the field is something like this. Cut straight down in front of the antlers and at an angle of about 90 degrees, cut forward from the back.

Keep the brass, find a nice piece of wood and then mount them., see pics.

Fairly easy and doesn't take much space.

Sorry this doesn't help, since it sounds like you cut the antlers off the skull already, right?
