I had to wage war on Skunks
I got one to help me kill skunks. I am over run with skunks. Every year my dogs kill 15 to 20 skunks in my yard. I had enough, it was time to take the fight to them. I got a new air rifle this year. I have a scope with a lighted retical and the LTO to look for them in the dark.
What a blast!!! The most intense hunt I have been on in a long time!!!!
We get over to the hide and waited about an hour. This is a picture of the heat vision I am looking at the shed the skunk lives under. You can see the shed the dirt mound on the left of the shed. The fence and the pile of lumber in front of the shed to me.
I see a couple cats in the heat vision. I spread dog food on the ground to bait him in. I see the skunk emerge from the hole with the Leopold LTO tracker heat vision. The first couple cats had me jumpy. I could clearly see the skunk was a skunk in the LTO. I waited for it to feed. I threw the dog food to make it hunt for the food. That way it's attention was not on me. I turned off the LTO and got ready to shoot. My Wife turned on the light and I shot him in the brain at 20 feet. I told her to run in case it sprayed, It never did. One less skunk and a kill for the Leopold. I have killed 12 this year including a BIG female with a belly full of pups.
This is the prize.
