LAST EDITED ON Aug-27-13 AT 11:03AM (MST)[p]I am new here but have been looking around for a while. I frequent longrangehunting.com under the same user name. Anyway I am fairly new to bear hunting but over the last few seasons have done pretty well. Here are a few pics from my bait

This was my first bear (spring 2012) shot him with my 375 Rum, skull measured 21 1/2" after drying and he squared around 7.5 feet

that fall my dad shot this bear with his 300wby

this spring I shot this 6.5 foot bear with my 338 win

and my dad shot this bear with his 300 wby

Here are a few random pics from my camera

I just put bait out again last sunday so hopefully we have some visitors this weekend.

That first bear is a giant. Bear hunting sure is addicting and it looks like you got the bug. Nice pics, thanks for sharing and welcome to MM. Hope to see more from you.

thanks for the warm welcome. These are all Wyoming bears. I live in Basin Wyoming (near Cody Wyoming in the north end)
I have to admit my first bear was Blind luck. I knew I had bears on my bait but this was the first time I hunted it. I just shot the first bear I saw, in fact he wasnt even on the bait he was in the dark timber behind it about 20 yards just making sure nobody else was on it. as soon as I saw him standing up there in the trees it was over. I thought he looked big but I had no idea nor did I care I just wanted to kill a bear.

I think you need to get a bigger gun though. That .375 Magnum is a little light.

haha, try it with a bow. You'll never go back to a gun.
