Has anyone had success calling in Bears in the fall with predator calls? I would like to give it a shot if it will work come Sept. Area has quite a few bears that I will be hunting in Colorado. If you have had success calling in Bears, I would like to hear your do's and don'ts

I've called in a total of 3 bears while coyote hunting. I was not trying to call in a bear, but they came in anyway.
I would use a Fawn-Deer-in-Distress call, and keep calling for extended periods of time. If I take a break to catch my breath, it would only be for a minute or 2. Stay on stand for at least 15 minutes.
Also, take a bear cub in distress call with you. You can find them at All Predator Calls.com.
I would also try and call from an open spot, so I could see them approaching from a distance, say at least 75-100yds. The first two bears that came in, I was calling from the edge of the forest and when I first saw them, they were within 40-50yds, and moving in quickly.

+1 to the above. I've killed many bears, so the only way I do it anymore is by calling and hunting with my muzzle loader. My best is 6'1" and approx. 300#. I can usually call in at least one a day and my best is 6 bears in one day before noon.
I prefer to call in the Spring and use my regular diaphram calls and cow elk calls. Doing it in the typical elk calving areas is awesome, and they can sneak right in and surprise you quickly. I will call for 30 minutes pretty regularly, then sit for another 30 without calling at all. Then get up and move about half a mile.
Fall calling works best in Sept, as there are just to many people in the woods during Oct hunting seasons. Regular predator calls work well and I have had them come running in to the sounds. Good luck.

Thanks guy's!! I will be doing it in Sept. Have the whole month! Was curious because they have come into cow elk calls during the rut. Wasn't sure if a fawn bleet would work in the fall, but I think it doesn't matter what month it is when ringing the dinner bell!!! I have all my mouth rabbitt calls and I shall see about the deer bleet calls.
