Four of us from Oregon are headed to Idaho this year for archery elk and we are trying to choose a unit to hunt. We are looking at 48, 49 and 76. Any info to help us narrow it down to one unit would be greatly appreciated. We have made calls into the biologist, but keep missing each other on...

I thought I read somewhere recently that starting in 2009 Utah requires you to put in for the tag at least once every three years or you would lose your point? I will try to find the link and attach it.

Idaho 2167 - Unit 64&67 Muzzleloader Elk

Depending on what time in September you might be able to get a trip on the Deschutes River out of The Dalles, with Bob or Jeremy Toman for steelhead. That's a trip and usually has pretty good action.

I have never hunted Idaho before and am considering a muzzleloader this year or next. I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out with a few units to start researching. I'm not looking for anyones secret spots, just a starting point. Thanks
