    Rifle Options for Wyoming

I think you have pretty much there on how you'll decide on which to use, but why not take both on your hunt. Use the 300 on windy days for the stability of the bullet and the 243 in better weather. As far as bullets go in the 243, the solids might be great, but some rifles don't like them...

    Friday CC Hits?

Seems like all the hits are for Non Res (high dollar). Maybe Res hits are yet to come.

    Wyoming License Fee's Going Up!

If you take the special fee out of the mix, the tag fees are pretty much in line with the rest of the western states. Buying the extra point or so with the Special option to get drawn a year or two sooner is what pushes the price up.

Due to the frequency of human-bear encounters, the B.C. Fish and Wildlife Branch is advising hikers, hunters, fishermen and any other persons that use the out of doors in a recreational or work related function to take extra precautions while in the field. We advise the outdoorsman to wear...

how was it done in the 70's and 80's

LAST EDITED ON Apr-13-15 AT 02:27PM (MST)[p]In AZ pre-68 deer tags were a buck and you would stop off at the Yellow Front store on your way out of town and buy your tag for a dollar. Everyone would say "A buck for a Buck". The tag had a metal clip band and a legal buck was at least a fork horn...

    Draw results

Last year results were available by phone on April 8th and on the website the next day. Not sure, but I think results posted on April 10th in 2013. Before the CC / on-line app process, results posted the last week of March. Results posting around April 7-10 seems to be the new norm with the CC...

Pop Up Trailer with Quad Deck

Had one, a Starcraft, and it worked great, but it did shift a lot of weight to the hitch. I think the deck was rated around 700 pounds and my quad weighed in aroud 650. The pin hole on my hitch got wabbled out a bit due to all the weight and I had load levelers to help out a bit. Not a big...

    Processor Issue????

LAST EDITED ON Nov-03-14 AT 02:41PM (MST)[p]A common complaint is the processor shorted you on your meat and in most cases you probably were not, but I want to pass along some information that may make you think twice about using South West in Chandler / Mesa. A friend provided them with four...

    Lead ammunition ban

LAST EDITED ON Oct-24-14 AT 04:23PM (MST)[p]I followed your sample size math equation to the point where you used the elks weigh of 450#'s and the .0036 of lead and I think you have a flaw. Your results may still come out with lead levels higher than the Big Brother Gov's arbitrary number, but...

    Unit 27 Cell Coverage

Thanks Mano. Does not sound like it will be a problem finding them when I make it up there. He has one of the early rifle tags and I believe he and my hunting buddy are heading up Wed before his hunt starts. They have to be cautious as they will be there for the last day of archery season...
