Not sure when the peak is, but I hunted sept 12-17, (if I remember right) last year and the bulls weren't bugling very much. Only heard bulls a couple days and we were around em the whole time. They were startin to push cows a bit, but the ones we saw weren't runnin off the satelite bulls yet...

Roseburg closed a large area in Pondosa last year to the public because they put their property in the PLM program and were awarded tags for their property. But havent heard of SPI closing off their lands.

My cousin drew the tag, still lookin for a place to concentrate. First scouting trip produced a little sign, but no animals. Hopefully the next trip will be more successful. Too much area to cover for the time we have to scout. Good luck on your hunt.

Only time here! But that's typical for me without a X zone draw. So the Colorado deer will pay the price instead!

Hunted hard for hard for 9 nine days 2nd season on public land near meeker, in an area we hunt every year usually 3rd season. Deer numbers were way down to say the least, normally see at least 50 deer a day, passing on several bucks, this year it was 1-3 a day for the first 6 days and we saw...
