Hope it is a good year to see some decent bucks, and that the winter impact was not so severe as in other parts farther north and west. I drew a WT taq in eastern CO. Planning to get out before the season and scout quite a bit.

Thanks for the review; +1 on the Nuetrons. Surprisingly stiff for a lightweight boot. Put some neoprene insoles under the stock insoles to make up some internal volume, and they now fit great. Went on a hike in the foothills this morning and you really do feel lighter on your feet in these...

Great boot. For me there was no break-in period. These boots were good to go out of the box. No hot spots, no problems. Your results may vary...

Personally I would go with the 280AI then work up a deer/sheep load with the thought that I could work up an alternate elk load (with a heavier bullet) down the road if need be.
