    Any luck?

Unit 005 NR tag. WY has been good to me as a nonresident over the years--but I am also glad to be out of the points game for moose--gave up on sheep years ago.

    kimber mountain acsent

I have an older 338 Federal that will shoot very well--as small as 1/2moa if you keep the barrel from overheating, but only with certain reloads that it likes, and only after it was fully accurized. Used the rifle to harvest a ram in ID about 10 years ago. I really like it (especially as an...

    Antelope, Elk, Deer Draw Results

Well IF there was some "home-cooking" going on and certain people pulled a disproportional amount of LE tags as a result, sounds like they got away with it...

    kansas bucks

Hope it is a good year to see some decent bucks, and that the winter impact was not so severe as in other parts farther north and west. I drew a WT taq in eastern CO. Planning to get out before the season and scout quite a bit.

Good lightweight boot options - summary video

Thanks for the review; +1 on the Nuetrons. Surprisingly stiff for a lightweight boot. Put some neoprene insoles under the stock insoles to make up some internal volume, and they now fit great. Went on a hike in the foothills this morning and you really do feel lighter on your feet in these...

    Lowa boots break-in period

Great boot. For me there was no break-in period. These boots were good to go out of the box. No hot spots, no problems. Your results may vary...

    Kimber Montana Cartridge Advice Needed

Personally I would go with the 280AI then work up a deer/sheep load with the thought that I could work up an alternate elk load (with a heavier bullet) down the road if need be.

    Warm Weather Socks

I have had decent luck with the "Cabela's Ingenius? Series 10" Sock - Lightweight" They have the "X-Static silver nylon" which seems to help in warm weather. They run tight in the calves, though. You might be best to order a size larger than your normal size. Average feedback rating is 4.6...

    17 Win super mag

Havent been able to find one either. The Savage that will be first to market looks kind of weird (to me), though I am sure it will shoot well. Think I will wait till it comes out in a Browning T-bolt or something like that...

    Rifle question

The only problem you could have is if you want to use someone else's reloads that were neck sized only for use in another rifle. These may not chamber in your gun due to headspace issues. The factory 22-250 ammo is generally very good. You should be able to find something the rifle likes by...

    OR Pronghorn Points...Worth it?

$148.50 per year just for one point. Not worth it IMO. Idaho has a few units that have unlimited archery pronghorn controlled hunt tags still available....probably a better option.

One more stupid law by ID Legislature

Okay I only have one post but this really makes me upset. I love Idaho ranchers as much as the next guy but they are overplaying their hand on this IMO. The sheep deal also made me upset. Maybe there are more sportsmen/women out there who will speak out more often as this continues.

    Best medium weight boot?

The various Meindl boots thru cabelas may be good options, like the Teton hikers or perfekts. They have good ankle support but the soles are not as quite as stiff as the AK hiker (though they are still fairly stiff). For whatever the reason there usually seem to be a few pairs in the bargain...
