I had the same tag for the same unit. It was tough, I spent around 10 total days hunting, had several close encounters and cool experiences. And while I ultimately didn't fill my tag I had a very fun and successful hunt. Big congrats on an awesome bull and making it all come together!

Received my email. I had 2 LE elk points and 18 Mtn Goat points… had high hopes for drawing Mtn Goat and zero expectation for drawing elk. Yet that’s exactly what happened. Drew an archery elk tag for Fish Lake! Can’t wait for September!

Missed a really nice bear a few years ago at 40 yards with an open sight 30-30. He had no clue I was around and was just standing there broadside. Not sure how or why but I missed! It still stings to think about that one.

2021 DIY Alaska caribou hunt. One morning it was sunny and clear, the next it was snowy adding to the full Alaskan experience! The excitement of a successful harvest kept us from feeling any of the cold and fatigue during the pack across the tundra back to camp.
