    Good luck barb hunters

Sorry to hear about the knee. If they give you any type of physical therapy utilize it and keep that knee as strong as possible. I'm heading out next weekend on my first Barbary hunt. I'll be doing it solo so I'm making sure a few people know where I am going.

Trail camera help Unit 51 elk

There is some great info here to help you out. I started running 3 Browning Cams and I have two Cuddebacks as well. I really like the browning cams and you can usually pic them up on sale between 69-89 if you watch the sales. Like most have said good batteries, clear branches and get a bigger...

    Camp Food Ideas

Have you looked at the Heather's choice meals? I watched a podcast on them and then looked at the website. Similar to mtn house but seem to be better for you. They are also a little more expensive. I think I am going to order a few and try them out on a scouting trip.

Tallpine, I have also thought about doing the same thing on scouting trips. Pack in a little gear at a time so we are not hauling it all in at once.

    Bivy vs tent

I was thinking with a Bivy it would keep me a little more mobile vs the tent. But after looking at the lightweight tents and our pm's tent camping is going to be the way to go.

Looking for the pros vs cons of Bivy over light weight tent camping in a wilderness area. The area I'm hoping to be hunting this year I have hunted in the past but was hiking in everyday. Newbie Questions - arrow length/draw length

I have always cut mine so that the end of the arrow insert is at the front of your riser. I shot a 28" dl bow and my arrows are 28 1/4" from throat of nock to end of carbon.
