Sorry to hear about the knee. If they give you any type of physical therapy utilize it and keep that knee as strong as possible. I'm heading out next weekend on my first Barbary hunt. I'll be doing it solo so I'm making sure a few people know where I am going.

Have you looked at the Heather's choice meals? I watched a podcast on them and then looked at the website. Similar to mtn house but seem to be better for you. They are also a little more expensive. I think I am going to order a few and try them out on a scouting trip.

For those of you who backpack in for your hunt what does your gear normally consist of? How many changes of clothes? Food load, etc.

Tallpine, I have also thought about doing the same thing on scouting trips. Pack in a little gear at a time so we are not hauling it all in at once.

Buy a good quality arrow. Never heard of what you are currently shooting. But regardless of what brand you choose always check them after every shot.
