I would second the recommendation for going with Heidi Gutfrucht, my brother and I just returned from a hunt with her and everything was great, -- honest, hard working, good equipment, good people etc. 1st class all the way!

My brother and I went on a hunt with Jed 3 years ago. He runs a first class operation and some real good deer were shot in camp. He is a straight shooter!!! I would highly recommend him!!

thanks for the responses fellas, i bit the bullet and ordered a christensen arms .300 ultra, i can't believe how stressful something fun like buying a new gun can be. now i am just excited as heck to get it and have fun, definately the gun of a lifetime.

littlebuck, i might not have been clear, the recoil from the .300 win mag wasn't bad at all, just loud as heck, nothing a little ear protection can't cure, and when i am hunting, don't really care how loud it is
