Nice 330" bull I found. My first sheds of 2016.

Yeah, I know it was early to start, but usually we find a good amount of whites by now. All we have prior to this set was an old elk spike found by my dad, and two deadheads. Really no sheds prior to this set.

After many weeks of getting skunked, I am finally on the board for 2016 with a great set of fresh elk sheds! They were close to 400yds apart, and score right around 330" First Side Second Side Pack Out Together

Anyone here have the deer hunt for November 21-25 this past week? We hunted hard for five very long days covering probably close to 80 miles total and saw one barely legal buck. Anyone here have the same hunt and get anything?

I live closer to Ruidoso, but have been to reserve, or pretty close to there, good country over there.

Some good finds from a good day in NM. Some good bone, but, the find of the day had to be the giant quartz crystal I found.

I live in southeast NM, but have never found one this early before

Well, wasn't expecting any fresh deer sheds for another month.

In New Mexico, closest town is about 15 miles away.

Found these on Thursday.

Here's what I've got so far this year.

My dad did good today, finding 2 big elk sheds. I found a spike deer shed, and an older 5 point deer shed.

Well, found this one Sunday. It's a toad, pics just don't do it justice.

Good day hiking with my dad.

We have been hunting for two days now and have seen no cows where we can shoot them. Any advice on where to go would be great.

Great bull. Nice to see a big bull come from the part of the state I'm in.

Not a lot, but some old small sheds, and one big slightly newer shed. The big one scoring 77 inches

Great NM bull. I must say I have seen a lot more quality B&C 350+ bulls in NM this year compared to previous years, and that bull is no exception. Stud bull man.

Biggest shed to date. Big 8, that I wish I could have matched up.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-18-14 AT 04:02PM (MST)[p]Well got out for a few hours today, and found 2. Along with the match to one we found about 3 weeks ago. Not giant but still a nice bull. First light brown shed is the one from a few weeks ago, and the one in the pic just below it is the one from today.

hat big 9 point is a friggin stud! Best of luck on the match man!

Spent 6 hours and walked about 12 miles. SAw lots of elk and found some antlers. Along with our first side by side set that was burnt to heck and wasn't worth keeping.

Awesome, and great sheds, lots more deer sheds than elk! I'm not big fan of more deer sheds, but still love em.

Sweet finds love the big brown! And you are so lucky, I still have another week of school before I'm off for break! But I have a 4 day week every week.

Ya, it's one of his best features, and I rescored him, and came out with 165 this time!

Ya saw in at about 100 yards away through binos, but truly should have seen it long before then.

Ya thats a big part of it too. I'm in NM and most bulls have already dropped.

Well finally got my big bone for the year, but hoping for more to come. Nice six, but took a not great photo Busted something

You look plenty high enough from the background, but maybe go higher if you can. That's my thoughts at least.

One thing I forgot to mention is I hunted one year before I got these bucks and after 3 long days of very few deer and more antlers than the deer seen I left that hunt behind me with my tag in pocket.
