Unit 36 Youth Encouragement Cow Hunt. Help

We have been hunting for two days now and have seen no cows where we can shoot them. Any advice on where to go would be great.

Me & my hunting buddy both smoked cows the first day on the first cow season this year in 36, only saw 120 elk. PM me

Devils Canyon is dead, no cows.....too much rain this year. Ft Stanton is where everyone from Texas goes and all the locals who can't hike, leave it alone. Hit the high country, elk everywhere.

go glass oak grove camp ground. IM not sure how much snow there is but last week we saw tons of elk looking north from the camp ground. If not they will be in the fingers around fort stanton. you will just have to glass and move until you find them. You should be in elk. But as others said devils canyon is pretty slow right now.
