Bucks are in the early stages in my area. 2 fighting yesterday, rattled one in 2 days ago. Necks are swollen, but the does are just not ready yet. The peak will be the full moon on the 2nd.

That is the same ram!! There is damage to the skull in the exact same place as the mark on his forehead. Right between the eyes. I'll bet he just beat the crap out of that part of his head fighting with all the other rams.

These are two of the biggest bucks I have ever photographed. They are not as nice of a picture as many of my photos, but I wanted to post them anyway so everyone could see. I have only seen each of these bucks on one occasion and never again. I was lucky to have the camera!

I think that looks like a VERY mature goat... He has nice looking horns, large beard, and the see how thick the coat is around the legs? Makes him look like he's wearing a pair of bermuda shorts!! My brother in law has a full body mount of a goat and this one looks bigger than his. Cool...

Here is a picture of the same buck that was bedded down in my previous post. This was much earlier in the season, but you can get a better idea of the width and mass. He never really gave me a clear picture through the brush, but I did get him to turn around and look at me!

I took the picture in Colorado Springs. I was about 20 yards away and used a 35mm Canon A1 camera. I have another picture I can post of the same buck that I took in the spring while he is in Velvet. The other picture shows the width of his rack better. GlomDawg

Here is a great buck I saw bedded down off the road. I snuck up and clicked this picture before he bolted. I'm not sure what he would score but I'm pretty sure he is about 30" wide. What do you think? GlomDawg
