My wife and I were lucky enough to draw the 39-3 either sex Elk tag. Not looking for anyone's spot at all, more than willing to burn some boot leather and not afraid to get off the road/ trail by any means. We will be scouting and researching of course as much as possible. All good hunts are earned for sure. My question is, what tips would someone who has hunted this area before be willing to share? Is weather a big factor on the quantity and availability of Elk? Is it possible to scout the Elk before season, not sure if it's primarily a migration hunt? How much pressure should we expect from other hunters during this hunt, Etc. thanks in advance for any tidbit you are willing to share. Greatly appreciated.
