5 points. Best archery unit?

I have 5 resident points for elk. I am wondering what you guys think is the best archery unit I actually have a chance of drawing.

My boys are almost old enough that i will be spending the next several years helping them get "hooked". I have plenty of vacation time and am in good shape to hike since i will most likely be doing a solo hunt.

Any ideas or thought as are appreciated.

I would probably go with Dutton or Fishlake if you cant wait any longer. Wait a year or two and go manti or book cliffs. The unit you can scout the most will probably be where you would do best.

5pts for elk you'll hard to draw anywhere but I'd go with Manti or the books if you wanted to wait a couple more years. But who knows there's always that lucky person thats draws with low pts so there's always that chance

Of all the units that you can draw a bonus tag with 5 points I would go with fishlake. The past 2 years have been 100% draw with 5 points. FYI Utahs true draw odds can be found here [http://www.neverstophunting.com/DrawOdds2013/elk.php]

I decided to cash in my 5 points on the FL last year! Super fun hunt but it was tough. Success rate was only 28%. Saw some really great bulls and was very happy with the results but it was a tough hunt.

Always glad to help. I did end up with a bull. I did a write up the end of Sept or first of Oct? I believe it's "my Fishlake Archery hunt" or something like that . Lots of pics and stuff just fun to relive and share the hunt. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions.
