LAST EDITED ON Nov-19-18 AT 10:33PM (MST)[p]Well it was the hardest hunt I've done and I have hunt all over the place. I looked over more then 60 Billy's in 6 days. With 20 around this size. This morning I missed a huge billy that was with this guy. The biggest one I had seen the whole trip. When I shot, all hell broke lose with ibex running every direction. I lost sight of the huge billy but a hadfull of Billy's ran up over the top past me. Most of them brown immature Billy's and this one. I was a little frazzled myself and pulled the trigger. It was a good hunt for the most part. Not as good as the white sands oryx hunt but still fun to say the least. I wish they had somebody managing these like Gilbert does the oryx. They are a true gem and a once in a lifetime animal. From what I saw it appears the population is down from years past, as I didn't see the numbers that people had years ago. Maybe I expected too much, but I expected to see multiple herds from every glassing point. As a out of stater I do want to thank New Mexico fish and wildlife as well as the residents of New Mexico. Every time I come down here, I have nothing but good experiences and conversations with the people of New Mexico. Thanks guys and good luck in your hunting adventures,
Myles
