ATV's or is it just me?

Do the ATV-driving shed hunters seem to be off to quite the start this year or it just my perception and suspicion of all things wheeled? We seem to have more folks very much in favor of using their boots and God-given quads as the years pass, so maybe we can all encourage the rest to try it without wheeled-assistance.

Its not just you. I friggin hate walkin far from the road thinkin your doing good then look down to see wheeler tracks gridding the place. frustrating!

It's not just your perception, they're all over the place! What drives me nuts is that I never see them doing it I just come across their tracks on some remote ridgeline or weaving through a stand of sage, usually accompanied with empty "Monster" energy drink cans. Apparently all that off roading requires the jittery charge of dozens of energy drinks throughout the day.

I'm thinking of giving up shed hunting and starting a new sport that involves a paintball gun, full camo, and long days waiting for one of these jack wagons to show up so I can effectively mark him.

Its lonely at the top....

The ATV issue is certainly a love-hate relationship for me!

I love them and love to use them, correctly and legally, but I really hate it when they're taken off from the designated roads and trails....even where it's legal.

Too many guy have their azzes glued to the seat and won't ever get off the darn things.

I like the paintball idea! It could be a new sport!

I'm just hoping they're driving the not-yet-dropped big bulls up the mountains where their lazy backsides will not venture. We do seem to have quite the outbreak of shed-gridders out this spring. Seriously hate it.

HATE the ATV's. On my latest opener, a group of 3 ATVs passed me before daylight a good hour's hike from my pickup truck heading up to a ridge where on any given day I could pick from among three good bucks. I arrived at daybreak, but not before the damage was done. I never heard a shot and I never saw one of those bucks again until the last weekend of the season.

It seems that the ATVers get their way in Nevada, they have successfully intimated the BLM and in some cases the forest service into deleting road plans from being implemented in most areas in Nevada.
I know Elko is a hot bed for anti government rhetoric, look at the current batch of county commissioners.
I could see this ATV abuse coming years ago, stand up and say something if you care at all.

He gets enough enjoyment out of giving tune-ups that the Feds will figure a way to tax him! ha
