AZ bear question

Other than the san carlos, any ideas on some good units to hunt bear in? I have never hunted bear before and wanted to try it this year and see how it goes, thanks for the help.

Look at the regs, pick one of the 5 units with the highest harvest objective since these have the most # of bears and won't close the first weekend (hopefullY). Then get ahold of the unit manager and ask him a few 'historic' questions about areas to try. Then scout and look at all the water sources in area, look for north bedding slopes, pickly pear if possible, and hunt in between with a large spotting vantage. Hunt at first light till 9 or 10 and in the evening from 3 till dark.
