Barnes XTP EZ

I drew an LE elk tag for Utah this year. I have used xtp 250 grains for deer and was thinking of moving up to 295s for elk. I shoot a knight disk, but have access to an omega. What is your opinions on the 295s......anyone use them on a big bull.

Are you actually shooting the Hornady xtp? Barnes does not make an XTP muzzleloading bullet. I do shoot a barnse spitfire 245 and have excellent results with my triumph and bh209. My gun shot the xtp quite well too, but I do get better groups with the barnes and I think the barnes is a better bullet.
