this NWS website to gauge precipitation levels. This year Cheyenne is at 12.05 inches for the year but much of that was the Granddaddy snow storm last March. Last year they had only 7.72 inches so considerably more this year but much of it due to the big snowstorm with just 3.13 inches since June 1st. Rawlins on the other hand has had 5.56 inches for 2021 and normal value should be 5.96. Last year Rawlins was at 2.50 inches for this time of year so the aquifer is being depleted and still in drought as the Fire potential chart shows.
