Megan Dahle for Assembly

Your voices have been heard! After 21,000 hunters used their voices, SB 252 has been withdrawn for consideration. In California, our 235,000 licensed hunters play an integral role in supporting our habitat and wildlife. Around 1/4 of the Department of Fish and Wildlife’s budget alone is paid through hunting and fishing licenses and taxes on firearms and gear.
Bear tags generated $1.39 million in revenue last year for the state’s wildlife agency. That money again goes into the big game management fund that supports habitat preservation for bears and other species including deer, elk, pronghorn antelope and bighorn sheep in our State. #AD1
