So I have a big flat screen attached to a Bluray player...

I said I was not going to buy a new library of movies for the 3rd time; I bought the first on VHS, then the second on DVD, and now, I'll be darned if Blurays are not addicting... So here is the question:

What motion pictures are worth spending the money for Bluray?

What made for TV movies/mini series are worth it?

I have a couple ideas on my own and so far I have bought about 10 Bluray versions...

So what say you?

You mentioned mini-series. I got Lonesome Dove on DVD and it did not convert well at all. Still a great mini-series thought.

My hunting spot is so secret, not even the elk have found it yet.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-16-11 AT 03:20PM (MST)[p]Funny you mentioned Lonesome Dove... I ordered it from Amazon last night... One of my all time favorite tv productions.

I have all of the titles mentioned so far on either DVD or Bluray.

I have some cash to spend at the moment and really am hooked on the Bluray format.

I recently picked up two remastered movies:
Mary Poppins and also The Sound of Music. Real guy movies.

Was Mary Poppins the director's cut version or the theatrical release? Sound of Music has a racy school girl scene IIRC. :)
