Best Outfitter

For deer I'd check out Greg Krogh and mogollanrimoutfitters.com They kill huge bucks every year! Good luck!

HOW MANY ??? check out SILVER GRAND OUTFITTERS,with many "SUCCESSFUL" return clients from drawing in Outfitter Deer Draw.Draw opens in Feb.results before end of March ...

I would second Greg Krogh and add Brad Lloyd with 7L Outfitters to the list. I met Brad a few years ago on a late season hunt and he's a real nice guy and a great guide. I've never met Greg but by all accounts he's a very stand up guide and very well liked and his track record speaks for itself.

Never, EVER, book a hunt with Rob Wallin at Nevada Outfitters. check with Nevada Guides and Outfitters Association. Many negative comments and a HISTORY of BAD actions, like not showing up for a paid hunt, taking hunt fees and "having reasons" for NOT hunting the client. Bad equipment when he does manage to show up, and the list goes on. NEVER, EVER book a hub with him!!!

Never been guided, but hear good things about Thomas Brunson.

As a side note, I looked at the draw odds when applying in the guided draw, my lord! I may have to go guided one day in the future just to draw the dang tag I'm after!

Greg is as good as it gets in nevada. Great guy and a great guide. I was able to subguide under him the last two years and he is the best there is.

Are you looking at the misleading (extremely overstated) odds that most services (sites) publish or are you looking at at the true odds? It was depressing when I finally saw the true odds.

I did a lot of research on NV deer outfitters several years ago and have been applying with Cary Jellison ever since.

Sierra, i was looking at the draw odds that are available on the NDOW website. I know those only show the 1st choices of each applicant. I know the odds are worse than they show, exactly how much worse , I don't know.

In comparison the guided draw odds are a lot better than the nonguided nonresident odds. Again I don't know what the real odds look like when they include all 5 choices. But a larger percentage of the guys in my point pool drew tags for the unit I want in the guided draw, while the non guided draw odds were dismal, can't image what they look like when all 5 choices are included.

Never been guided, but might have to start saving some cash, just to have a better chance to draw. After I draw I'll likely just try and draw an early rifle hunt every 3 or 4 years.

Funny, hunted 16 years straight, never a problem. Always great great animals for me and my family. I've heard your story and his side. Got your elk after wounding one, he stayed with you. Hunted you 5 days very bad weather, everyone had problems up there that year, seen the pictures and video.
Every business can't make everyone happy.
But if you were a guide too, as you claim, you should know that.
And the guide association is made up of people paying to get in, might be a biased opinion.

Travis Leavitt with Deep Creek Outfitters. Awesome dude that works harder than anyone else I know... not to mention he's helped kill some monsters the last few years. Their website is www.DeepCreekGuides.com

The guided draw odds are much better in some units. But the popular units that all the guide apply for in the SE are just as bad. A lot lower than everyone has been led to believe and not good. Its like the quote from dumb and dumber, so your saying I have a chance.

He had a nice truck and glass when we saw you on that elk hunt??

Although I have never hunted with Greg I hope to do so in the future. Depending on the units you're looking at I would definitely recommend him for elk.
