BCBOY,
I'm glad to see the kids are getting a proper upbringing! Glad to see you all had such a great season. I had to grin when I read the part about "holding out for a 200" buck" very few people will ever even see a legit 200" buck on the hoof much less walk into the woods bow or rifle in hand with a commitment to killing that kind of buck. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to kill a 2hundy myself!
Huntsonora and I were talking about this post and scoring bucks, what matters and what doesn't and how most people that have posted have it pretty well figured out and some still miss it. I'm not just talking about this deer but scoring in general, how many times have you heard that a buck wont score well because he is narrow or that he doesn't carry enough mass? I remember a buck that you killed a few years ago and having an argument with a guy on this site because he felt there was no way that deer was over 200" due to his narrow frame. If I remember right he was in fact "narrow" but huge forks and giant fronts. 212" gross???
