>Colorado is considering increasing permits again
>by 50%. I read
>an article about this, anyone
>else see something or know
>anything about this? I hope
>it doesn't happen.
Let he misinformation begin...
1. This is for residents only
2. This new bill will set the fee rate tied to inflation rate. Thus every year the CPW will index the tag cost with the inflation rate.
3. This has nothing to do with parks. Parks has its own separate budget, own separate revenue source. Also by law the commission has virtually free reign over parks fees. If they wanted to today the commission could go in and approve a $3.00 camping increase it could happen without issue. The parks side does not have it hands tied by legislation in the same manner that the wildlife side has...
4. So many people are whining about the increase, but it has been over a decade since the last fee increase. So what an elk tag may cost $60. Most people spend more than that on coffee in a month. Hell one trip to the movies, or?????
5. If you can not afford a hunting tag for $80 maybe you should look for a cheaper hobby.
We all have choice to make every activity we do has a cost. Some activities cost so much that they are not reasonable. If your situation prevents you from being able to afford an activity you either need to find something else, or you need to find a way to get the money.
