Now that the N/R cow tags have increased in price, would it be reasonable to assume that the tags won't be as available as in the past? I'm pretty good at looking at the draw statistics on the DOW site but have never really been able to figure out if the DOW lets the public know in advance if the tags allotted for each zone have changed from what was allotted the year before. Do you have to wait until after the draw process to figure out if anything has changed regarding tag numbers available?

What I have heard is that they collect winter kill and winter count data and set tag numbers at a May meeting (after the draw deadline)

Sorry I just read my post and it did'nt make sense to me.
Usally they have a number in mind during the draw process. Since alot of the draw process is already in play before the May meeting the tag number's may not change until the next year.
But they do have time to add or take away left over tag's.
