LAST EDITED ON Feb-17-08 AT 11:47AM (MST)[p]They do every year. His hunts are migratory, which usually translates into later in the year. His hunts for deer do start in mid November for the rut, but he usually doesn't start hunting his elk until the end of November and those hunts go through the end of January. I sent him 3 hunters just before Christmas and sent him 2 more after the first of the year. This is a great place for me to have, it allows me to book hunts later in the year for people looking for something, without having to follow the state set seasons. You are right, you might not be able to get a deer every year that scores over 200", but there aren't alot of places around that consistently put 200" deer in the books where you aren't paying alot more than 4000.00. Look at Three Forks Ranch, you will pay 8000.00 for an elk hunt, and shoot elk that are no bigger than 250-300 class bulls. Even the eastern plains, where I book alot of hunts each year, doesn't consistently produce 200" deer, even though there are a few taken every year out there, the norm is 180 to 190. Out of the 22 deer hunts I booked for 2007 only 3 scored over the 195 mark, the biggest being a 199 5/8, taken just on the other side of Pikes Peak, the rest being 175 and above and all for 5000.00 or less.
